23.2.11

I am already writing shopping post at the start of the week! O.M.G.

Well, i meant to pop to Superdrug to check out the new Sleek Primer Palette... But I actually not keen to buy it.. instead, I check out other foundations in the store as I realise I have hit the pan of my sleek creme foundation compact. At the moment, I have discovered my favourite type of foundation. I am so into creme compact foundation, as its so quick and easy to apply before work.

Since I have heard good comments on the PhotoReady line, so I just want to try it out. Also, I heard lots of comments on the lipsticks, since there's a 3 for 2 offer at the moment, so may as well pick this up, as I am going to get the eye shadow palette as I am so into the brown colour now!

Secondly, just want to share my favourite cookies. M&S' Pistachio & Almond cookies is my favourite, I roughly ate already 3 packs since the start of the year! Since it's on promotion, so I just give Lemon Meringue a go, as I have tried the apple crumble cookie.

Eye shadow collection....

I was browsing some chinese beauty forums just now and there was a topic about how much eye shadow you have at home, so I digged up the ones that are on my shelf at the moment, and not included the one still in my 'storage' box, and I am shocked by the number that I own. ;-P

Gosh,,, they look small here, but much bigger if you see them in real life... like cover 1/6 of my double bed...=.=

From these, Sleek palette's are good and pixi palette is good in quality. I don't recommend NYC, instead for the small range, I recommend e/s from e.l.f.

Laura Galler and Stila are good in mineral e/s, but they are bit on the higher end... as they are not cheap.

Don't like my dior palette as I don't think they are easy to use, not sure whether it is due to the fact that they have fewer pigments.

Barry M and model own pigments are good, but they took me quite a long time to press, so unless you want to do some serious DIY, I suggest you not to do so.

Revlon Colour Stay is good, which I have depot into the muji plastic case at the RHS corner.

Bourjois e/s are very nice too, but seriously for £4/5 each, I rather get a sleek i-divine palette or a Revlon colour stay quads as you get more from that. lol

Also, Maybelline Mouuse e/s is nice as a temporay base too, and it was so cheap as I bought it from poundland. ;)

So how big is your collection??

Kyanvi.

p.s. ohhhh... forgot to mention, The Body Shop e/s are so-so quality, I think, so only recommend when they are on sale!

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner

As I mentioned before, I prefer Prestige Total Intensity eyeliner, but as you can see, I only managed to get hold of 3 of them, with getting 1 from ebay instead of @ Boots.

They are the best eyeliner I have ever encountered, they are long lasting and soft. For once, I have used the black one to draw an inner eyeliner, it managed to stay for more than 10 hours, which I was so amazed.

They have only 6 colours available at Boots for £4.99 each, though they have apparently 8 colours in the US. I wish I can get a hand of that, but don't think I am going back to US for a short while. sigh

Anyway, I managed to find the 8 colours online and for us in UK, we will be missing out the fearless teal and strong slate which are the ones I really want as I am not that interest in fierce blue and powerful purple.

(N.B. these are found on google search engine and belongs to beautyandthedirt.com and vivi-bear from yahoo blog)

Swatch

These swatches are compare with Gosh Total Intensity eyeliner.

2nd line, L-R:
02 Bold Brown
05 Intense Olive
01 Deepest Black

Compare with Black Ink (R1), I think deepest black is much blacker and Bold brown is in a similar case as it is darker than truly brown.

So this is it, I have finally managed to write the reviews for the 2 eyeliners that I like most, and these are the 3 that come after this.

Stila kajal eyeliner - I saw Michelle Phan (a popular youtube user) used the black colour version  in her video, but sadly I didn't manage to get hold of.
Prestige Mineral eyeliner
Revlon  High Dimension eyeliner
- these 2 are quite soft and highly pigmented, the only downfall is that they do not last that long.

These are my favourite at the moment, but I still have a list of eyeliner that I plan to try:
- Urban Decay 24/7
-Mac Powerpoint
-Make up forever
-L'Oreal HIP

and what else??

Quick Haul

Just a quick haul before I hide myself again to try to concentrate my studies. @.@ I popped into local Boots today on my way to market to get more vegs.

The No. 7 £5 voucher is back on again, so any ladies who want to stock up any No. 7 products, it's time again. (seems the last lots just gone @.@) Anyway, I have stocked up another concealer brush, as this is really my favourite and it is really cheap. Using the £5 voucher, it is only £2.50!

Finally there's 3for2 offer for all Prestige cosmetics! So I bought 2 total intensity eye liner and 1 mineral eye liner to try out, as I heard lots of good review on these liners, especially the total intensity one.

I have not try out the false lashes, but they are on clearance, only 38p per box for the 17 lashes, and £1.50 for the Revlon one. Ms Makeup is on offer too, buy one get one 1/2 price for the whole line, but for this one it is only £2.50 (reduced from £9.xx)

As well as Boots, I popped into Poundland and found out that Maybelline Dream Mousse is only £1, such a bargin!!

I finally found a solution to sharp the NYX jumbo eye pencil or other jumbo eyeliner! I bought that jumbo eye pencil and sharpener from Primark; and guess how much for these 2?
It is only for 10p!!! Is it wonderful?

Anyway, have a nice week!

K.
