Primark Little Glow Cheek

Went to Primark around 2 weeks ago, just saw these on reduction, and did not resist the idea to buy them and they only cost me £1.50!

Forgot to take the photo for the packaging, but it is just plain pink plastic cover.

This is similar to the famous Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick or the similar cheaper version MEMEME bronzer, though the Bobbi Brown one is much much nicer and the Primark one has less finer powder. lol

Swatches

I personally found the orange stripe is too orange and the rest of the brown stripes are bit too reddish, so I don't think I will use it that much... qutie a waste... sigh...

Well, even though it is quite cheap, don't think I recommend this and rather save up to get a Bobbi Brown one instead.

Quick shopping

Just bought these @ Boots in Croydon yesterday by using No. 7 £5 off vouchers. Does anyone know what's the difference between the boxed one that found in No. 7 counter and the ones in zip bags on the brush shelves?? They seems to look the same to me @.@ Well, price wise, they are the same, but then why border to do 2 types?? I am confused.

Btw, there's still few things left in Pure counter, and only £2 for any products left by Urban Retreat and Pure.

Popped into Primark as well and bought these and only cost me 75p!!
So this going to be my next makeup bag!

Quick Haul

Just a quick haul before I hide myself again to try to concentrate my studies. @.@ I popped into local Boots today on my way to market to get more vegs.

The No. 7 £5 voucher is back on again, so any ladies who want to stock up any No. 7 products, it's time again. (seems the last lots just gone @.@) Anyway, I have stocked up another concealer brush, as this is really my favourite and it is really cheap. Using the £5 voucher, it is only £2.50!

Finally there's 3for2 offer for all Prestige cosmetics! So I bought 2 total intensity eye liner and 1 mineral eye liner to try out, as I heard lots of good review on these liners, especially the total intensity one.

I have not try out the false lashes, but they are on clearance, only 38p per box for the 17 lashes, and £1.50 for the Revlon one. Ms Makeup is on offer too, buy one get one 1/2 price for the whole line, but for this one it is only £2.50 (reduced from £9.xx)

As well as Boots, I popped into Poundland and found out that Maybelline Dream Mousse is only £1, such a bargin!!

I finally found a solution to sharp the NYX jumbo eye pencil or other jumbo eyeliner! I bought that jumbo eye pencil and sharpener from Primark; and guess how much for these 2?
It is only for 10p!!! Is it wonderful?

Anyway, have a nice week!

My Kabuki brushes

I always want to buy a kabuki brush, but seems there's always a issue that stopping me from buying, e.g. price, quality, etc. But then, I just cannot resist to buy one when I was in Primark last month and received a mini size one  by Bare Minerals when I bought stuff from Debenhams.

When I was taking the photos near the window, I got no ruler with me, so just grab a 10p coin along to comapare. For readers who are not familiar with pound coins, it's roughly the same size as a quarter for US reader, or 1HKD or 0.5SGD for asia readers (as i only familiar with these currencies other than GBP)

So as you can see, Bare Mineral is only around the same size as a 10p coin and Primakr one is much bigger.

Both of the brushes are quite dense in hair which is good, but the hair is more even in length for the Primark one, while Bare Mineral one is spreading out a bit more.

Conclusion

Both of the brushes are very good, but price wise, I think the Bare Mineral will be much much more costly as the Primark one only cost me £1.50. Also, it really depends on the user. I personally much prefer sythenic brushes as they are easy to clean and tend to be soft and the main thing is that they don't have horrible smells like natural hair ones. The Bare Mineral one is made of natural hair which I found it is slightly hard and I always concern that I will mess up the brushes by using incorrect method to clean and store.

Score
70/100 (for Primark)
60/100 (for Bare Mineral)

I heard e.l.f. or Bobbi Brown kabuki are good, so what are you using?

Primark Again!

Just went out to do Weekend shopping yesterday, went into Primark, and bought stuff again! @.@ But this time I have only spent £2.50 for these 3!

Randomly, I went thought my stuff and see how much cosmetic I bought from Primark, and quite surprised that I bought a few...

By looking at this photo, I just realise I spent roughly £14 on these... actually for cosmetic, they are really cheap, from only £0.50 (when it is on sale) - £2.50.

There have been a mix view on Primark cosmetic stuff and lots of people wonder whether these are poisonous or not. But I used some of the items for than 10 times, but I don't even have an allergic reaction to any of these.

Of course some of them are good and some of them are rubbish, same as other company. Sometimes it just really depends on the user, I suppose.

But from all the reviews I read, the 2 COLOUR EYE SHADOW is TOTALLY A NO-NO! While apparently 4 quads are okay.

Second thing that I think it's a no-no is that GEL EYE LINER... it is even worst than my kohl pencil and I rather use the kohl pencil, at least i can create a smokey eye @.@ So really STAY AWAY FROM IT!

The mascara is good, but only downfall is that it is not waterproof and does not last long.

There's a mix view on the gel eye shadow, but I quite like it though... its like putting lipgloss on the eye lid.

The eyebrow kit is my favourite out of the brunch. The mini brushes (which are not shown here) are really soft  and perfect size of the job. The powder is so-so, but the gel is good.

The rest are so-so... consider the price, I think it is still a steal... kaka...  anyway.. I will give a more detail view on individual item each time... off to my essay 1st.... see you~

p.s. they have even face primer in stock, if anyone have bought it, please let me know how's it!

Primark Mineral Powder Eyeshadow

Even though it was raining today, still bight enough to take some photos. So there we are.

The packaging looks a bit like Urban Decay Style, especially with the grey and the pink. Also, the handle looks really like UD too. The applicator is just a normal smudge sponge head and nothing special about it. The powder itself is very fine. This is because when I put the applicator back in, the fume of dust will just 'burst' out.

And the colours,

It is very easy to apply. I only brush 2 layer of the powder and the colours shown very clearly. The only downfall is that without the aid of any eye primer, it did not stay for long. After I took the photos and tidy my shelves a bit, all the shadow are already 'washed' off only some shimmer left.

Conclusion

For 50p each, this is really a bargin and lots of products to play around. Once again, I found lovely items in Primark. Even for the original price of £2, I still think this is good to buy. Compare with other powder eyeshadow, I like this packaging more than the ones come in a jar with a sieve.

Primark Comestic Range Review 2

I went to Bath and Bristol this week as my brother moved to Bath.

I cannot believe that I have bought comestic stuff from Primark again. However, I found them as bargin...(although I should also cut down the amount of stuff that I bought from Primark, as every penny counts =.=///)

The Primark in Bristol is shocking. It was relatively empty on a weekend morning, while the one in March Arch is pack 24-7. It is so lovely to shop here as you dont need to hunt and try to avoid other shoppers.
So I bought 3 things from the new range, here they are:

1 Happy Couple - duo bronzer & blusher

From its look, it looks like things from benefit, with the paper box packing and the drawing/picture on the cover. When I open it, it is exactly looks like the Benefit one, with the mini brush. But the colour is more like the one I was thinking of buying on e.l.f. (which is the one that looks like Nars, I heard)
The brush, again, suprisingly soft and lovely. However the blush & bronzer arent that good, the colour aren't shown on my face compare with my Collection 2000 bronzer and The Body Shop blush.

2 Ta ta for now - undereye cooncealer

The only colour left in Bristol is light, so it wasnt as good as it might be, as I think i need a medium rather than light. Anyway, it is a cheap dupe of the YSL famous highlighter/concealer pen in pink plastic tube. The concealer itself is quite thin, so quite easy to blend around. It isnt too dry compare with my dior concealer, it is even rather moistursing, though the ability of concealing is low.

The brush is soft. The ONLY 1 PROBLEM is that it take ages to press out the concealer sometimes. I tried a few times, sometimes, 1 click can press out the concealer, but other times, at least 2-4 click, a bit annoying.

3. 9 1/2 winks -Extreme Falsh Lash Mascara

O.m.g. This is my favourite in this lots. There is a significant difference in this mascara which stands itself out in all the mascara that I got. I have used a few famous mascara, like Dior, Benefit, Lancome, Channel, etc. What so special about this mascara is that it really extend, volumising and curling my lashes. Even my boy friend can spot the visible difference when I put Lancome on one eye and Primark on the other.

For £2.50, it is really a bargin and this is the only one I really recomment to buy and try out. (although the eyebrow kit is nice, it doesnt show any siginificant difference other than the price)

The only 1 downfall is that it isn't waterproof, and it does not able to last long, so I need to put an extra layer of coating... but I am not sure which coating is good in the market though... sigh
So what should I try next?

Primark Cosmetic Range Review

In the recent post, I said I bought 3 things from Primark, so here they are. I actually managed to take swatch and I tried the eyebrow powder and eyeshadow gel as well today. But, I didn't try the eyeshadow as I don't think it will work if I don't apply mixing medium.....

Okay, so why I don't use the eyeshadow??

Well, look at the photo below...

I use my Ruby & Millie Angled Brush to brush on my back of my hand. The powder is not refine and very clumsy. So I dont think its a good idea to use it dry. Also there isnt much pigment, most of the colour will be 'eaten' by my darken eyelid. So the only way is try with mixing medium later.... (means use the wet method)

Maybe my £1 wasted on the eyeshadow, but the brow kit worth for sure more than 50p. It is the miniture of the e.l.f studio brow kit. It is around 1.5x £2 coin size and includes 2 mini brushes.

The colour is light brown, not as good as my new Rimmel eyeliner, but before I have the Rimmel eyeliner, I use the mixture of light & dark brown eyeshadow as my browliner. Therefore, the colour is okay for me. The gel.... hmmm... i havent use any gel before, I have no idea how should it be... So no comment on that...

However!!! There is 1 thing i really like for this 50p product. It is the BRUSHES that i love most. I have a collection of lancome, Ruby & Millie, The Body Shop & Everyday mineral brushes. Compare with these brushes, these mini ones are really soft and nice. For 50p, it is good enough for me to get hold of these brushes as they are mini & cheap, good for my palette that i made before.

So at last, but not least, I tried the eyeshadow gel today... Seems a bit strange, it is kinda like putting lip gloss on the eye lid. I heard people do put lip gloss on as an eyeshadow when they go for swimming as they are really able to hold and waterproof.

Now I understand the effect. I haven't re-do my makeup today, my gosh eyeliners are almost gone and worn off, but msot of the purple stayed. Well, the crease line shown a bit as the pigment moved towards it. but in general, it really holds.

furtheremo, my eyelids are really dark compare with my rest of the face, so most of the eyeshadow is kinda faded when i put them on. but this shows quite well. so i think it is even a good buy when it is at its original price, £2 hahaha...

Primark Cosmetics Range

Primark is well known for its cheap clothes and accessories. I am not a particular fan, but I do pop in sometime and have a browse (and of coz manage to get something out @.@)
Walked in Primark @ Oxford St this evening, as I was looking for underwears (and manage to buy something as well=.=//) Saw the new cosmetic line, the ones above and new packaging for their normal cosmetic. From the black Opia packaging to the white/ semi transparent packaging.
I saw the reduce sign from £2 -> £1, so I thought I may get some to try out, as it looks more promising to me. See, the powder/ effect of packing to consumer... bad for me....
it kinda looks like Benefit or Too Faced to me... hope its gonna be okay... as I search online, lots of people suspect primark's cosmetic will do harm to our skin.....
p.s. the 'normal', not the new line is still £1 and sometimes 50p.... so cheap... worth to try out new strange, out of safe zone colour if they work.
